Adele brings over 30 years of experience as a voice, speech, and dialect coach, actor, director, and teacher. Adele currently coaches actors of all levels from beginners to stars for television, film, and theater.  She also has 14 years experience teaching university theatre programs including UCLA, School of Theatre, Film, and Television, CAL State Northridge, University of Maryland, College Park, as well as AMDA, NYC.

In 1991 Ms Cabot received her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, CUNY. in 1998, after over 3 years of training with Kristin Linklater and other master voice teachers,  Ms Cabot became a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher. Linklater Voice teacher training is the most comprehensive teacher training program for voice teachers offered anywhere. It takes from 3-5 years of intensive study and teaching to complete the training to become a Linlater Designated Voice Teacher. During that time, Adele studied for over a year with renowned voice teacher Kristin Linklater, author of Freeing The Natural Voice and Freeing Shakespeare’s Voice. It is a highly specialized, specific training that includes all aspects of voice work, anatomy, Alexander Technique and other subtle movement work, Shakespeare, training at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, singing, and more. There are approximately 150 Designated Linklater Voice Teachers world-wide, most of who are teaching/coaching at the leading Actor training programs in the US (Yale School of Drama, University of Washington, UCSD, North Caroline School of the Arts, NYU, etc.), and in top training schools in Australia, England, Germany, Spain, Mexico, etc.

Since 1998, Adele has been coaching actors and executives of all levels helping them to find and free their natural, authentic, and powerful voices.  Adele has coached at Los Angele’s most prestigious theaters including The Broad Stage, The Geffen Playhouse, and The Mark Taper Forum. She worked with 100’s of actors preparing their major roles on television and film and theatre. And she coaches actors preparing for bio-pics. She was the Voice and Speech Consultant at Arena Stage in Washington DC under Molly Smith’ Artistic Direction for 4 years, and was privileged to both teach and act at Shakespeare’s Globe in London for two consecutive summers during Mark Rylance’s years as Artistic Director. She also taught at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, at the Shanghai Theatre School in Shanghai, China, and in Korea.

She has worked with many CEOs and other Executives, most recently from Guess, Inc. She prepares leaders from business for TED talks and other conference talks and presentations. She works to help speakers overcome tension and other issues while expressing their thought with clarity and intention. She helps to access personal power, presence, and ease and brings in story telling and other techniques to promote speeches that are well told, attention-getting stories.

Specializing in:

Coaching actors preparing for roles in biographical films, (aka Biopics). Adele has consulted on and intensively coached both A-list actors as well as less experienced actors in finding all aspects of the voice of the character (tone, range, pitch, placement etc), integrating in any accent  or speech idiosyncrasies of character, character’s physicality, and connecting the character’s impulses to the vocal, physical or speech expression natural to the character.

Adele has also coached Grammy related speeches, writers and directors for pitching creative ideas, business people for presentations, CEOs for state-of-the business talks before entire company, for TED talks, lawyers for court room, numerous people for job interviews, fundraising speeches.

TV and FILM: Appearances as voice and General American expert on: Epic Mealtime (TV), Dr. Phil (TV). Coaching for E-Channel’s Secret Celebrity coaching for Kim Kardasian and Nick Lachey. Film Coaching on Trust Me, for Saxon Sharbino, Director: Clark Gregg, and many others. Coaching for Disney’s World of English, Extensive ESL training for Asian market. Coached four 12-14 year old girls on General American Speech and voice for camera for teaching English to Asian children, Dir: Timothy Armstrong.

Broadway and Regional Theatre full-time position: 2015, Adele coached at The Mark Taper Forus, The Geffen Theatre, and The Borad Stage. From 1999-2003: Voice and Speech Consultant, Arena Stage, Washington DC. She coaches many film stars for Broadway in cluding Deborah Winger preparing for a Mamet play at the Golden Theatre on Broadway. Adele performed and taught at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, and at Shakespeare & Co. LA Theatres: Shows at  The Kirk Douglass Theatre, A Noise Within,  The Broad Stage, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Theatre,  and privately for actors at South Coast Rep.  List of actors coached available if needed.  LAUREN MURPHY YEOMAN, Designated Linklaer Voice Teacher, MFA in Acting. Teaches private sessions in Voice  and Dialects.

Lauren Murphy Yeoman currently teaches voice at the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts and the Stella Adler Academy of Acting. She has taught for Classic Stage Company’s Young Company in New York, Columbia University’s Senior Executive Program, and the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, as well as in private practice. She has served as a voice coach for productions at the University of Southern California, the Mark Taper Forum, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, and the South Pasadena Theatre Workshop. As an actor she has performed in New York, Los Angeles, and regionally at HERE Arts Center, Theater Row, Stageworks/Hudson, NY Fringe, Hollywood Fringe, Philadelphia Fringe, Classic Stage Company, and Theater for the New City. She received her MFA in Acting from Columbia University and trained intensively under Kristin Linklater for four years. She became a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher in 2014.


HEIDI SCHELLER, Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, teaches classes.

Originally from Philadelphia, Heidi Scheller has made her home in Los Angeles since 2001, and has enjoyed working as an actress, teacher, director and expert vocal coach across the US for the past two decades. She was certified as a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher by Master Teacher Kristin Linklater in 1998. Heidi has taught actors from over 35 countries around the world who have successful careers in film, television and theater, and is dedicated to helping, teaching and guiding people to find and express their authentic voices.

Heidi is currently a Professor of Voice on the faculty at the renowned California Institute of the Arts. She was the Head of Voice and Speech at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting from 2002-2015, and has also taught voice, speech and acting at New York University, New Actors Workshop, The Gene Frankel Theatre, Circle In The Square, Shakespeare & Co., The Hamptons Shakespeare Festival, and KidsOnstage. Heidi was a founding member and educational associate of The Hamptons Shakespeare Festival where she performed in main stage productions as well as created and taught their summer education program, Camp Shakespeare. She was also a member of the acclaimed Shakespeare & Company where she has trained, acted and taught voice and text.  To help reach and inspire people to find their authentic voices, Heidi created and hosts a popular podcast called Finding Your Voice with Heidi Scheller. She has produced two popular vocal warm-up recordings which serve as a teaching tool for students around the world.

Acting credits include, Nat’l tours: Through The Eyes of A Friend, The New American(Living Voices Theatre), Lady Macbeth in Macbeth(Shakespeare&Co), Helena in MSND(HSF) and recent productions: Drama Desk Nominated The Navigator(Best of Hollywood Fringe 2014), Inez in Sartre’s No Exit(Netherworld Theatre Co). Directing credits include: Kimberly Akimbo(Garland nomination-Best Director), Overtones(Vox Humana), A Christmas Carol, Beautiful Bodies(Stella Adler Theatre). Heidi is a featured singer on the release of King Famous’ latest album. It’s Good To Be King. She was a member of the reputable Vox Humana Theatre Company, Waging Theater and the Classical Theatre Lab.

LYN CHARLSEN KLEIN, Teacher of Alexander Technique.

Lyn Charlsen Klein (atinstitutela.com) has a BA in English from UCLA where she also studied for a Masters Degree in Dance.  She was certified to teach the Alexander Technique in 1977, training with Frank Ottiwell and Giora Pinkas.  Lyn is currently the Director of Training at The Alexander Technique Institute- Los Angeles (ATI-LA) and brings a wealth of teaching experience. She taught the Alexander Technique at the USC School of Theater from 1980 to 1995 and for the California State University at Los Angeles 1989 – 1999. Lyn has given lecture/demonstrations and conducted courses for Alexander training programs and the general public on a national basis. She maintains a private practice in Van Nuys.


JOYCE LU, Teacher of Feldenkrais, “Awareness through Movement”, MFA, PhD.

Joyce Lu, Ph.D. is a performing artist and educator who was certified in The Feldenkrais Method in 2012. She came to The Method after pursuing different forms of therapy for an injury and found it so effective that she decided to become a practitioner. The power of this work lies in bringing one’s attention to one’s habits and introducing new pathways for movement. In this way, one can come to naturally and effortlessly express one’s full potential. Joyce is a member of the Balinese dance and music ensemble Burat Wangi and Body Weather Laboratory Los Angeles, and she also dances with Christine Germain and Diana Lara in the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently teaches acting and movement for actors at Pomona College.
