About Us
|
Adele Cabot is a voice, acting, speech, and dialects professional. She is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher (trained and designated by Kristin Linklater) with an MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College - CUNY. She trained in and practiced Improvisation with Paul Sills (co-founder of Second City, Chicago). She also incorporates the principles of The Alexander Technique and yoga into her work. The approach is psycho-physical and holistic, integrating voice, body, and acting. The work is both practical and artistic. She has worked privately with individuals on their voice and/or acting, coaches actors, and has taught and coached for over 25 years in LA, NYC, and D.C. and in many parts of the world. She is currently on the theatre faculty at UCLA and often teaches voice for several acting studios in LA, including for Kim Gillingham Studio.

Ms. Cabot’s coaching and teaching integrates her experience into a holistic approach to voice, body, impulse, and acting. She works to integrate voice, body, thought, imagination, emotion, spirit, psyche –all aspects of the individual into the voice training. When the voice is integrated into all aspects of the individual, a deep sense of personal connection can be communicated.
Ms. Cabot is known for her sensitive yet practical, truthful approach, for her mix of art and craft. She brings her sense of artistry and play to each class, session, or workshop.
